ILLUMINATO

Italian light, warm in color refracting off the patina of a colored wall, floating across a small winding street, slipping under the cracks of doors and windows inspired Illuminato, a collection of photographic composites. These layers of moments, movement, light, color, and place provide a rich palette to capture a sense of place and time. While waiting for the magic light in these ancient spaces, I feel the past while grounded in the present. These divergent themes of old and new, past and present, then and now, collide. The gestural forms floating, balancing, hovering, represents the dichotomy of this juxtaposition of past, present and perhaps future.
